How to Share Your Documents Securely
Tax returns, statements and identification hold sensitive details. Please keep them off this website and out of email. We will explain the secure way after a consultation.
What to do
- Reach out by phone, by email or through the contact form with a short description of what you need. Leave out any personal numbers.
- Have your consultation. We will talk through which documents matter for your situation.
- Wait for our instructions. After the consultation, we will explain how to share those documents securely.
In the meantime, it helps to gather your records in one place. The tax organizer is a good checklist to start with.
Please never send these through the website form or email
- Tax returns, W-2s, 1099s or IRS letters
- Bank, credit card or payroll statements
- Photos or scans of identification
- Social Security numbers, tax ID numbers or account numbers
Social media messages are not a safe place for them either. The contact form is for short messages only, and it is set up to refuse messages that appear to contain these numbers.
